Helen J. Wilcox

Helen J. Wilcox, 96, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Waterloo, died Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Sartori Memorial Hospital with her daughters by her side.   She was born November 11, 1921 in Mason City the daughter of William and Della (Eppert) Ziebell. She was a graduate of Waterloo East High School.  She was untied in marriage to Dale O. Wilcox on October 1, 1939 in Waterloo; he preceded her in death on June 6, 2015.  Helen and her husband Dale lived on the Sans Souci for 40 years.  She enjoyed the outdoors, quilting and playing bridge.  They also enjoyed traveling and spent the last 20 years wintering at their home in Apache Junction, Arizona.  She cherished the time spent with her grandchildren.  Survived by: two daughters, Kris (Barry) Beekman of Sioux City, Jo Marcussen of Waverly; five grandsons, Britt Marcussen, Cam (Trish) Marcussen, Randy (Tatum) Marcussen, Brock (Laura) Beekmann, Blake (Jessica) Beekmann and ten great grandchildren, Kami, Jonah, Braydon, Landree and Blythe Marcussen, Andrea Slawson, Braxton , Brinkley, Harper and Jayson Beekman.  Preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; two sisters, Lois Patterson, Margaret Watkins and a son-in-law, Bob Marcus...[more]
