Mrs. Rash was born in Keokuk, Iowa on July 17, 1952 the daughter of Donald L. and Ruth Kunter Bryant. She married Raymond J. Rash on February 5, 1971. He preceded her in death on June 23, 1994. She was a life long resident of Keokuk, Iowa. She was employed at Bonaparte Riverside Plastics as a production worker. Later she received her nurse's degree. She was a member of the Thunderbird Society. She was a former member of the Keokuk Jaycees. She was a member of Business and Professional Women, a former lifeguard at Keokuk YMCA. She loved to watch football and NASCAR racing, also loved to go fishing, surf the computer and travel. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by 2 daughters: Joannie L. Rash of Dexter Kansas; Jamie Lyn Mortimer and her husband Robert of Keokuk, Iowa; 3 sons: A.J. ; a sister: Jeanne Brooks and her husband, Pat, of Missouri one sister-in-law: Korrine Rhea of Galesburg, Illinois; 2 brother-in-laws: Bill Rash of Williamstown, Missouri; Marvin Rash of Germany, and 2 grandchildren: Destiney and Kaylee Dayle Gilpin; 2 step grandchildren: Jessie and Hope Milliron, several nieces, nephews and cousins including Ron Bryant of Keokuk, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 son in infancy and her in-laws. Memorial services were Saturday, January 7, 2006 at DeJong's Funeral Home with Brother Bill Hauser officiating. Memorials have been established for her sons and grandchildren.
