so loved going to the Boone Speedway on Saturday nights and spending time working on the cars with his friends, down in the pits. One of his most favorite things was driving down by the Boone River and spending time by the Big Eddie. He used to do a lot of hunting and fishing when he was younger, but as he got older, he just didn't have the heart anymore to kill the poor animals.
Scott was very proud of the fact that he enlisted in the United States Navy on August 27, 1969. He was stationed in Maryland and did 6 month stints in Iceland until he was discharged on June 8, 1973.
Scott was preceded in death by his father Frank and mother Mary Ann (Givens) Pepper.
He is survived by his son, Michael Netcott, and his two grandchildren, Makayla and Ryan Netcott all of California, a brother Frank Pepper and (Penny Hinderks) of Ames, IA; a sister Cathy Pepper and significant other (Otto Gross) of Kansas City, MO and a sister Sue Loonan and (Joe) of Gilbert, IA. Scott also leaves many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Scott leaves behind his most precious possession, his dog, Peppy Lou. She has been his faithful companion for 12 years.
So in finishing, Scott's last words to his many friends and family would be, "Later Cupcake"!
According to Scott's wishes, he has been cremated and a Family Memorial will be held at a later date.
