Willaim Trammell

William Henry "Bill" Trammell, 82, of Keokuk, Iowa, died at 8:45 PM Saturday, September 9, 2006 at Lexington Square in Keokuk. Mr. Trammell was born May 1, 1924, in Hoke County, North Carolina, the son of Henry M. "Sandy" and Dovie Mae Trammell. He married Lottie Mae Abston on August 16, 1952. She preceded him in death on May 8, 2002. He had worked as an independent over-the-road truck driver for 40 years. He liked to fish and hunt. He moved back to Keokuk three years ago from Bainbridge, Georgia. He is survived by a daughter, Kathy Donahue and her husband, Tom, of Keokuk; two sons, William Trammell and his wife, Janie, of Tennessee and John Trammell and his wife, Bonnie, of Orlando, Florida; five grandchildren, Josh Surprenant, Missy White, Becky Trammell, Sommer Trammell and Bailey Trammell; two great grandchildren; three sisters, Louise Hutcherson of Florida, Mary Bridges of Bainbridge, Georgia and Grace McElroy of South Carolina; and a daughter-in-law, Pam Trammell of Keokuk.
