Florence Kepner, 98, of Wichita Falls, Texas; formerly of Creston, died Friday, December 8, 2017 at The Gables of Rolling Meadows in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Celebration of Life Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Creston. Pastor Jerry Richards will officiate.
Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery, south of Creston.
Open visitation will be from 2 -7 p.m. Tuesday, December 12, with family receiving friends from 5-7:00 at the Powers Funeral Home 601 New York Avenue in Creston.

Florence Dady was born February 14, 1919, the second child of Bert and Ava (Mills) Dady. Florence grew up on a farm north of Afton, Iowa and helped care for 14 more babies as they were born. The last 2 were born after her marriage. She graduated from Afton High School in 1939 and taught in rural schools for 2 years, before marriage to Addison (Dutch) Kepner. death on October 29, 2007. Florence was a member of the First Christian Church in Creston. Florence and Addison loved to travel, after retirement, in their 32' trailer, fishing and seeing different states and just enjoying leisure time.
Florence is survived by two beloved daughters, Ava (husband Marion) Chubick of Creston and Lela (husband James Bradley) Bettis of Wichita Falls, Texas; two grandchildren, Brian (wife Rebecca) Bass of Wichita Falls, Texas and Heather (husband Scott) Strickland of Satsuma, Ala.; and five great-grandchildren, Logan Bass of Birmingham, Ala., Reagan and Emily Strickland of Satsuma, Ala., and Ava and Ethan Radillo of Wichita Falls, Texas; two brothers, Orval (wife Eleanor) Dady of Corydon, Iowa and Milo (wife Ann) Dady of Osage Beach, Mo., five sisters, Ruby Richards of Burlington, Iowa., Beulah Welcher of Lockridge, Iowa., LaVon Phadenhauer of Burlington, Iowa., Evelyn Bierce of Murry, Iowa and Sylvia (husband Steve) Sequancia of Rialto, Calif., a sister-in-law Connie Dady of Windsor, Mo., and lots of nieces and nephews.
Florence was preceded in death by her; parents, her husband of 68 years and 8 siblings, Gladys Woods, Elmer Dady, Thelma Swartz, Opal Wallentine, Helen Tolle, Irene Jones, Albert Dady and Boyd Dady.
