Juanita Darlene Milholland went to be with her Lord on December 7, 2017 just short of her January 1st birthday which would have been here 98th. Juanita was the third daughter born to Lillie Gladys and Roy Wasson in Iowa. Preceded in death by two older sisters, Wilma and Georgia. The family moved to Bennett, Colorado in 1928.
Juanita married Clarence Dalton and they were blessed with 7 children. Elmer in 1938, Mary in 1940, Dottie in 1941, Gary in 1944, Gracie in 1946, Clarence Junior in 1948 and Carol in 1950. Clarence Junior passed in 1967 in Viet Nam and Elmer with cancer in 2012. Two grandchildren also lost their battle with cancer. Barry passed in 1972 and Davey in 1978. This marriage ended in divorce.
In 1963, Juanita and Bill Milholland were married. Bill had 4 daughters and 3 sons, double family. Don, Ila, Bill, Allan and Norma have passed. Judy lives in Wyoming and Betty in Paoli, Colorado.
Juanita held lots of different jobs in her lifetime, school janitor and cook, restaurant cook, seamstress and homemaker. She was a very active woman who loved her volunteer work at church, Strasb...[more]
h, Strasburg senior VIP Group from 1990-2017, Meals on Wheels and the Comanche Crossing Museum. She also loved to quilt, crochet and sew.
Since May of 2013, she resided at Prairie Creek Living Center, which she loved very much. She was thankful to Margaret and Rickie plus all the other workers for the care and love they gave so freely.
Survivors include her children, Mary Lou White of Bennett, CO, Gary Dalton (wife Danita) of Strasburg, CO, Dotty Carr (husband Jerry) and Gracie Manning of all of Hereford, TX and Carol Whittle (husband Dave) of Loose Creek, MO; step-daughters, Judy Budd of Wheatland, WY and Betty McBee (husband Jim) of Paoli, CO; also survived by 17 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 26 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Strasburg Community Church, 56155 Sunset Avenue, Strasburg, CO. Interment will follow at Mountview Cemetery, Bennett, Colorado.
