Preceding him in death was his beloved wife Doris in November of 2016, his parents Elmer and Nea Cooper, a sister Dorothy Barrett. Survivors include his son Michael Ray Cooper of Denver, Colorado; daughter Deborah Wilson and her husband Joel of Omaha, Nebraska; grandsons, Drew Wilson and Megan O'Hern of Omaha, Nebraska, and Kyle Wilson and wife Teresa of Boynton Beach, Florida and their children Cooper, Margaret and Grace Wilson; brother Kenneth Cooper and wife Betty of Shelbyville, Texas, and sister Mary Lillie and husband Bob of Grand Junction, Colorado; along with a host of other relatives and friends. Celebration of life funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Friday, December 15, 2017 at the Hackett-Livingston Funeral Home in Shenandoah. Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, Friday, December 15, 2017 at the Hackett-Livingston Funeral Home in Shenandoah. Burial will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Shenandoah with military rites provided by Shenandoah American Legion Post #88 Color Guard. Memorials may be directed to donor's charity of choice.
