Florence E. Arnold, age 92 of Winchester, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro. A native of Franklin County, she was born in Winchester on May 6, 1925 to the late Jasper and Nora Hall Benson. Before her retirement, Florence worked at the Hat Factory and Shaw Carpet Mill. She was a member of the Decherd Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir. Florence enjoyed working word search puzzles, crocheting, eating Linda's coconut cake, and especially going to visit her daughters' houses in Manchester and Nashville. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lawson Ray Arnold; and ten siblings. Florence is survived by her daughters, Judy A. Taylor of Manchester, and Linda J. Ford (Bob Studier) of Nashville; grandchildren, Cynthia (Herschel) Martin, Tim (Marta) Taylor, Greg M. Taylor MD, and Tammy (Greg) Merriman; great-grandchildren, Daniel Martin, Evan Martin, Megan Hastings, Jordon Taylor, Hunter Merriman, and Hallie Merriman; sister, Ellen Davis; and a host of nieces and nephews.
