Mary "Jane" McNealey Eastman was born March 6, 1944 in Milan, Missouri to George and Harrylene (Lee) McNealey. The family moved to Fort Dodge and Jane attended Fort Dodge Senior High. She was united in marriage to Ronald Eastman on July 20, 1974. The couple settled in Callender, Iowa where they owned and operated a bar and later owned and operated a bar in Gilmore City. Jane worked various jobs throughout her life, but especially enjoyed her last position at Home Health Care. She enjoyed attending events at the Moose Lodge and Eagles Club. She like playing pool at Ralph's Tap in Moorland. Jane was known at Mema to everyone that knew her and she was the matriarch of the family.
On December 11, 2017 she died at the Paula Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She is survived by her husband Ronald of Fort Dodge, three daughters; Tanya (Ivan) Starkey of Cape Coral, FL, Brenda (Todd) Kisler of Fort Dodge, and Kindy (Nate) Monroe of Gowrie. She was Mema to eight grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 brothers and one sister; Fred McNealey, Terry McNealey, and Beth Casotti.
