she also was a past president and member of the Sioux City Art Center and taught art classes at the Sioux City Art Center, the Iowa Lakes Art Center, the Le Mars Art Center and the Spirit Lake Art Centers. She was the winner of many art awards, including first place in oil, acrylic and watercolor in the professional class. She also did commission paintings, with many of them hanging in area homes. Her artwork was featured on the cover of two books.Jeannie accomplished many things throughout her life: she earned her pilot's license for a single engine aircraft, obtained her real estate license, owned and operated a health spa, and had five children. She loved dancing with her beloved husband of 56 years. Jeannie loved birds, flowers and gardening. She also loved the community theatre and rarely missed a show. Throughout her life she loved people and made many life-long friends. She was a wonderful and beloved wife, active mother and a great neighbor and member of the community. Certainly, she will be missed by all who knew her. Survivors include three children and their families: Kimberly (Donald) Fague of Denver, CO, Michael Nemmers of Le Mars, IA, and Rhonda (Tony) Mial of Stafford, VA; 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; her sister, Joan Harbeck, of Sioux City, IA; her brothers: Leonard (Pat) Yoerger of Eagan, MN, Leon (Pat) Yoerger of Merrill, IA, Stan (Joan) Yoerger of Merrill, IA, Gordon (Ruth) Yoerger of Merrill, IA and Ronald Yoerger of Reseda, CA.She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Valeria Yoerger; her sister, June (Jerry) Bowers; her beloved husband of 56 years, Clay Nemmers; her daughter, Cheri Maria Nemmers Jolin; and a son, Bradley Allan Nemmers.May she rest in the arms of the Lord Forever!Jeannie left a prayer on her desk, "Jesus, I Love you! Forgive me my sins. Thank you for being my Savior!"
