Matthew Thomas Young, 4 months old, of Keokuk, Iowa died Monday afternoon, August 28, 2007, at Keokuk Area Hospital. Matthew was born on April 16, 2007 in Keokuk, Iowa the son of Joseph Walker and Chris Young. He attended Melrose United Methodist Church with his family. He will be greatly missed by friends and family. He is survived by his father, Joseph Walker of Keokuk, Iowa; his mother, Chris Young of Keokuk, Iowa; an aunt, Judy Saunders and her husband, Wayne, of Keokuk, Iowa; maternal grandmother, Rosemary Nelson of South Dakota; maternal grandfather, Chester Young of Quincy, Illinois; paternal grandmother, Judy Wright-Mays of Keokuk, Iowa; paternal step grandfather, LeRoy Mays of Keokuk, Iowa; and cousins. Funeral services were held Saturday, September 1, 2007, at DeJong's Funeral Home with Pastor John Abraham officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk, Iowa. Memorials have been established.
