Carl Lewis Farmer, age 70 of Winchester passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017 at his residence. He was born December 26, 1946 to the late Lewis Carl Farmer and Helen Elizabeth Farris Farmer. Carl was baptized as a child in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and served in the US Air Force as a crew chief on a B52 bomber. He loved being at home with his family and watching Alabama football. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Clara Nell Farmer of Winchester; daughter, Emily (Danny) Austin of Winchester; sisters, Inky (Tommy) Robbins of Winchester, Jane Farmer of Cowan and Sue (Bruce) Brownfield of Winchester; brother, Ronnie (Debbie) Farmer of Huntland; granddaughters, Breely, Taylor and Lucy Austin of Winchester; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 3-7 pm Sunday at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11 am Monday, December 18, 2017 at Moore-Cortner Chapel with Doyle Coulson officiating.
