KENSETT ñ Gloria G. Chodur, 80, of Kensett died Monday, July 9, 2007 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City. Funeral service will be Thursday, July 12, 2007 at 10:30 AM at First Baptist Church in Forest City. Burial will be at the Kensett Cemetery in Kensett. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 11 from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home and an hour prior to service at the church. Gloria Genevieve Chodur, the daughter of Martin and Emma (Isaacson) Borg, was born on a farm east of Forest City. She attended country school near her home and graduated from Forest City High School in 1942. On February 12, 1947 she was married to Donald LeRoy Chodur at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Forest City. They farmed near Leland, Thompson, Miller and in 1967 moved to their present farm at Kensett. Gloria enjoyed spending time with her family, wintering in Phoenix, AZ, fishing, traveling, gardening and was an avid reader. Gloria was strong in her faith and read the Bible everyday. Larry (Ellen) Chodur of Rudd, Karen (Lewis) Thompson of Osseo, WI, Joan (Troy) McCormick of Mason City, Michael Chodur of Charles City and Tami (Christopher) Thilges of LaCrosse, WI; 23 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mildred Ostrander of Forest City and Arlys (Nelson) Hendrickson of Humboldt.
