Christmas Eve.
Christian was a bright light. He deeply loved his family and a number of special caregivers and teachers, and would frequently say their names aloud. Christian had a fantastic sense of humor, an easy, infectious laugh, and an enormous amount of empathy. He had an uncanny ability to draw people in and seemed to know someone everywhere he went. He will be missed terribly by his parents, Rick and Julie Schleusener; his siblings, Kelsey Sprowell and Courtney and Jeff Schleusener; his brother-in-law Andrew, his niece Olivia, a host of beloved aunts, uncles and cousins, and countless friends who loved him. He was preceded in death by his uncle Bobby and all four of his grandparents; his grandfather Rolfe Voltaire passed away just three weeks ago. In lieu of flowers, Christian's family requests that memorial contributions be made to his favorite places, Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church in Fort Collins, CO and Hearts & Horses Therapeutic Riding Center in Loveland, CO.
In place of a viewing, Christian's family will host an open house and time of sharing memories together on Wednesday, December 20th from 5-7 pm at their home, 1624 Streamside Drive, Fort Collins. His funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm on Thursday, December 21, 2017, at Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church, 4501 S. Lemay Avenue, Fort Collins, CO.
