BERTHA HARTEN
CUBA CITY, Wisconsin - Bertha I. Harten, 99, a former resident of Muscatine, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2017, at the Epione Pavilion in Cuba City, Wisconsin.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Private family burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery in Ogden, Iowa, at a later date.
Bertha was born on August 12, 1918, in Boone County, the daughter of L. O. and Lillian Roberts McCall. She married Alvin A. Harten on June 12, 1937, in Ogden.
She was a teacher and was a member of DAR, National Education Association, and Boone County Historical Society. She enjoyed genealogy and history; she loved to travel in the United States and Europe after her retirement. She also enjoyed quilting, embroidering, and antiques. She loved cats and most of all, her family.
