nne served as a missionary nurse in Narainpur Girl's School, West Bengal, India, and also in Santipara Leprosarium Hospital, Bongaigaon, Assam, India.
Returning home enroute Europe, visitation was possible in the Scandinavian countries, as her parents were born in Denmark. Nursing was continued firstly at Royal Alexandar Hospital, Edmonton, Alberta; then at The General Hospital, Calgary, Alberta.
On August 1st, 1971, Norris and Betty Anne Jorgensen were married at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Calgary, Alberta. She found her companion, carpenter and farmer - all in one! From 1971 to 1991 they were engaged in farming at Carbury, ten miles northwest of Bottineau, North Dakota, with enjoyment of church, community activities, a trip to Norway and Denmark in 2000. Norris and Betty Anne spent their retirement happily living in Bottineau, North Dakota until moving to Titonka in 2012. On June 21, 2013, Norris passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side at the Titonka Care Center after a lengthy illness.
On December 17, 2017, Betty Anne passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, at the Titonka Care Center.
She is survived by her siblings, Elsie (John) Planz of Titonka, Donald (Betty) Jorgensen of Calgary, Alberta, Vern (Marian) Jorgensen of Calgary, Alberta; sisters-in-law, Sylvia Jorgensen of Lacombe, Alberta, Audrey Jorgensen of Strathmore, Alberta; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Preceding her in death are her husband, Norris; parents; brothers, Fred Jorgensen, Johnny (Pauline) Jorgensen, Billy Jorgensen, Edward Jorgensen; nephew, Daniel Planz and great-niece, Rebekah Lesley.
