Henry Wagner, Jr., 88, of Brighton, died on December 17, 2017 in Brighton. He was born in Ft. Lupton, Colorado on September 16, 1929 to Henry, Sr. and Ellen (Woolridge) Wagner. He attended schools in Ft. Lupton and Brighton. He married Maxine E. Ehlen on February 16, 1949 in Brighton.
From 1965 until 2016, Henry owned and operated his own farm East of Brighton. He raised cattle, pigs and chickens while farming wheat and hay. He enjoyed restoring old tractors and selling them and also enjoyed gardening. His pride was raising watermelons, which some grew to 30 plus pounds, and sharing them with friend and neighbors. Henry played golf and enjoyed bowling and later played cards and enjoyed his trips "up the hill".
Survivors include his son, David (Cathy) of Orchard, CO; daughter, Patsy Wagner of Brighton, CO; sister, Shirley (Paul) Sauer of Keenesburg, CO; 1 granddaughter Laurie (Gary) Haffner; 2 great-grandchildren Samantha and Sarah. Preceded in death by his precious wife, Maxine; brother, Richard; and both parents.
