Lon Rhea Eakins, 78, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 18, 2017.
Visitation: Held at Guardian Funeral Home, Friday, Dec. 22, from 5pm-7pm.
Funeral Service: Guardian Funeral Home, Saturday, Dec. 23, at 10am.
Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park following service.
Lon was born on Jan. 15, 1939, in Mount Pleasant, TX. He was an avid golfer for many years. He loved hunting, fishing, country western dancing, and taking care of his cattle at his ranch in De Leon, TX. Lon retired from Miller in Fort Worth, TX after working there for many years. Lon and his wife Anya, moved to Mountain Valley in Joshua, TX to be close to family and enjoy his retirement. He was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Cleburne, TX.
Survived by: His wife, Anya Eakins; son, Chip Eakins; stepdaughter, Amberli Weaver (husband Rick); stepson, Troy Copeland (wife Terri), stepson, Cary Copeland, step daughter-in-law, Kim Copeland; 14 grandchildren; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
