erry Knapper. He was a gifted mechanic, who never met a machine he couldnÃt take apart and put back together. For 15 years he and Frances enjoyed wintering in Texas. In 1996 the couple moved off the farm and made their home in Crystal Lake. Stan was a life-long member of Faith Lutheran Church in Miller. For several years Stan owned an airplane called "The Blue Eagle" with Vernon Nonnweiler. Stan and Frances enjoyed two trips to Norway to visit family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who treasured time spent with his family. Stanley is survived by his wife, Frances of Crystal Lake, his children: Carolyn (Clet) Nedved of Fertile; Harvey Hallett of Crystal Lake and Wray (Thresea) Hallett of Forest City. Also surviving are six grandchildren: Greg Nedved, Heather Hallett, Kendra Hallett, Curtis (Jessica) Hallett, Casey Hallett and David (Elizabeth) Hallett, six great-grandchildren, two sisters, Nadine Price of Clear Lake and Cleone Knudtson of Lake Mills and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Loretta Etzen and a brother, Leo Hallett.
