Carmen Renee Barber, age 38, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away at 12:56 a.m. Friday, April 24, 2009 at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne. Born in Columbia City, IN on July 6, 1970 she was the daughter of Wallace Reed and Sueann H. (Clingerman) Fowler.Raised in Columbia City, she graduated with the Class of 1988 from Columbia City Joint High School. For two years, she resided in North Carolina and for the past 10 - 12 years, she lived in Fort Wayne. On August 28, 1999 she married Steven John Barber in Fort Wayne. She was formerly employed by Star Financial Bank, Van Buren Street, Columbia City, as a receptionist. Before becoming ill in 2004, she managed the office for Powerclean Industrial Service for her husband. Survivors include her husband, Steven J. Barber of Fort Wayne; daughter, Alysha Marie Holland of Fort Wayne; mother, Sueann (Glen) Pollitt of Columbia City; father, Wallace (Sandy) Fowler of Albion; step-brother, Chad (Sarah) Pollitt of Fort Wayne; step-sister, Brandie (Josh) Reister of Churubusco; mother and father-in-law, Jeanne A.
