DAVID A. ROUCH
David A. Rouch, age 65, of Columbia City, IN passed away at 4:45 p.m. at his home Wednesday, August 12, 2009. Born on March 3, 1944 in Whitley County, IN, he was the son of Maurice R. "Pete" and Mary Jane T. (Allerton) Rouch.A lifetime Whitley County resident, he graduated from Columbia City High School with the Class of 1962. Following graduation, he attended the Ag short course at Purdue University. On March 25, 1965, he married Adele L. Bowie at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, Columbia City. A lifetime farmer, he also worked at Warsaw Wholesale Plumbing, Warsaw, IN with 18 years of service. He was a member of St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church where he served on the church council. A former Whitley County Commissioner from 1980-1984, his former memberships included Board of Director for Farmer's Mutual, Whitley County Extension and Union Township Fire Department.Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Adele L. Funeral Mass is Monday, August 17, 2009 at 10 a.m. with one hour of calling prior to service at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, 315 S Line Street, Columbia City. Father Larry Kramer will officiate. Burial at Greenhill Cemetery, Columbia City, at a later date. Memorials may be given to 4-H Inc. in memory of Mr. Rouch.
