GEORGIANNA KARST

Georgianna Karst, age 95, of Columbia City, IN passed away Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 11:15 a.m. at Parkview Whitley Hospital, Columbia City. Born December 9, 1915 in Kendallville, IN she was the daughter of Clayton and Laura (Cramer) Castator. She graduated from Huntington Schools, Huntington County. On May 8, 1937, she married Frank L. Karst. In addition to being a homemaker, she worked at Blue Bell and Whitley County Hospital in housekeeping as an assistant, sterilizing linens and instruments for 15 years. Survivors include her sons, John (Marge) Karst of Indianapolis, Paul (Margaret) Karst of North Webster; daughters, Sharon (Gale L.) Fudge, Barbara (Nicholas) King, Carolyn Clack and Patricia Oliver all of Columbia City; 17 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Frank L. Karst in 1968, son, Richard Karst in 1966, brother, Harry Castator, sister, Bernice Klingaman, granddaughter, Holly King, great-granddaughter, Anna Fudge and son-in-law, James Clack.
