KELLY "POPCORN" CASKEY

Kelly "Popcorn" Caskey, age 68, of Columbia City, IN passed away suddenly at 7:16 p.m. Sunday, July 22, 2012 at his residence.Born on April 23, 1944 in Fort Wayne, Allen County, he was the son of Denzil B. and Georgia (Dexter) Caskey. He graduated from Central High School, Fort Wayne, with the Class of 1962. He served in the United Stated Army. He moved in 1988 from Allen County to Whitley County. On October 1, 1988 he married Virginia "Ginny" L. Mertz at Saturn Christian Church, Columbia City. He retired from Dana Corporation, Fort Wayne, with 36 years service and prior 10 years with Hi-Fy Gas Stations.He was a member of Oak Park Church, Fort Wayne and Saturn Christian Church, Columbia City. He was the founder of Good News Prison Ministry and Kelly's Popcorn Ministry; and a participant of the Whitley County Jail Ministry; and member of the Christian Motorcycle Association. Survivors include his wife, Virginia "Ginny" L. Caskey of Columbia City; 4 children, Scott A. (Heather) Caskey of Fort Wayne; Carrie L. (Curt) Asher of Fort Wayne; Dawn A.
