MICHAEL A. WRIGHT
Michael Allen Wright, 68, of Columbia City, IN passed away at 7:05 a.m. Monday, November 25, 2013 at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne. Born on June 12, 1945 in Worthington, MN, he was the son of Gordon G. and Elizabeth L.(Ramert) Wright. He was born and raised in Minnesota. Mike graduated from Fulda High School in Fulda, MN with the Class of 1963. He entered the Marines and served from 1963 to 1967 during the Vietnam War. Mike moved to Columbia City in 1971 and worked at the Indiana Air National Guard from 1972 until retiring as a Senior Master Sgt. in 2001. On October 12, 2005 he married Joanna Parent-Ewing. He was a member of St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars all in Columbia City. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 29, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. with a 3:30 p.m. Rosary and 7:30 p.m. Vigil at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 30, 2013 at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, 315 S Line St. with Fr. Gary Sigler officiating.
