Genevieve "Jenny" Frazier

Genevieve "Jenny" Frazier, 99, of Columbia City, Ind., passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Lutheran Hospital.Born on December 5, 1914 in Jefferson Township, she was the daughter of Gus and Myra (Hay) Hine. She was born and raised in Jefferson Township and has lived most of her life in that area.She graduated Jefferson Center High School with the Class of 1933.On June 12, 1937 she married George W. Frazier.She worked at General Electric for 10 years and had been an Avon Representative for over 40 years, still currently selling. She is a member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church, Nix Settlement, the Rosary Sodality, charter member of the Harmony Club, Jefferson Township Homemakers and past president of the Whitley County Farm Bureau.She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and many Avon friends. She was a very classy lady who was a devoted wife and mother. Damasius of St. John, V.J. (Morgan) Damasius of Crown Point, Christopher (Mindy) Frazier of Columbia City and Jessica Frazier of London, England; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; three step-grandchildren; and nine step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 59 years, George; brothers, John and Martin Hine; and son-in-law, Vyto Damasius. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15, 2014 from 12:30 to 4 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City with a Rosary at 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, June 16, 2014 at St. Catherine's Catholic Church, Nix Settlement, 9989 S State Road 9, Columbia City with Father Dale Bauman officiating. Burial will follow at St. Catherine's Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given in Mrs. Frazier's memory for masses or the building fund of St. Catherine.
