Ronald L. VanAcker, 80, of Muscatine, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at his home in Muscatine surround by his family. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 26, 2017, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Burial will be in the Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Following the committal services, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Community Room. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 26, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Mulford Evangelical Church in memory of Ronald. 7, Ronald was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Bunn in Muscatine. Ronald owned and operated VanAcker Mobile Home Park from 1976 to present and Sampson Street Auto Sales from 1965 - 1999. He enjoyed racing stockcars in the 70's, watching his grandson race stockcars, collecting toys, going to the casinos and spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren.
Ronald will be missed by his wife, Patricia of Muscatine; daughter, Deborah (Rodney) Summy of Muscatine; two grandchildren, Aaron (Jen) Summy of Illinois City and Ashley (Jack) Evans of Illinois City; four great grandchildren, Madisyn Summy, Ethan Summy, Kierstyn Summy and Jonah Evans; and one brother, Dean E. (Mildred) Van Acker of Muscatine.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Orville and Merlin.
