Antonia Perez, 94, of Plantation, Florida passed away peacefully at her home, with her family by her side on Thursday, December 21, 2017, following a brief illness.
Born in LaJas, Puerto Rico on June 4, 1921, daughter of Juan and Dominga (Irizarry) Cruz. Raised in Puerto Rico, Antonia moved to Brooklyn, New York in 1950, later to Rockaway, New York. Following her husband's retirement in 1990, they moved to South Florida.
Antonia enjoyed being with her loving family, loved to cook, crocheting and needlepoint. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survived by five loving children, Juan Alberto (Norma) Perez, Alba Cisco, Alice Perez, Ada (Angel) Cordero, Rick (Sally) Perez. She was the adored Mamá to 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
She was preceded by her husband, Mercedes Perez in 1991 and daughter, Elizabeth Rodriguez in 2015.
Visitation on Thursday, December 28th from 12:00 ~ 1:00 P.M. at Fred Hunter University Drive Home, 2401 South University Drive, Davie. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 P.M. with her grandson, Pastor J.J. Perez officiating. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
