Joan Vorwerk Howie, 88, formerly of Tewksbury Township and Morris County N.J. passed away peacefully on December 23, 2017. Born in Brooklyn NY, Joan was a gracious woman of many talents and interests. She taught high school math, and was an active participant in many organizations including the Girl Scouts of America and her church. She was an avid traveler. A role model to many women, she lived her life in an empathetic and compassionate manner. Her love for and from her family and friends was unsurpassed. She made all who visited feel welcome and at home at the "Washington Valley Farm" in Morristown and the "Howie Homestead" in Tewksbury where family and friends gathered for Corn Roasts, Christmas Parties and uncountable good times. She will always be remembered for her great sense of humor and ability to truly listen.
She is survived by her daughter Carol Eaton and husband Bryan, two grandsons, Jarod and wife Samantha, Ryan and wife Julianna and two great grandsons, James MacGregor and Isaac Godfrey, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
