With sadness, we announce the passing of Carol Ann Cummings of Sarasota, Florida on December 23, 2017, surrounded by her family, after a courageous and extended battle with cancer. Born on January 13, 1947 in Queens, New York. She is survived by her husband of 49 years William Cummings, her son Brian (Patty) Cummings of Hernando, Florida, her daughter Christine (Christopher) Smith of Sarasota Florida, her son Kevin Cummings of Hernando, Florida, six grandchildren, and countless friends whose souls she's touched and lives she's brightened.
A devout woman of faith and charity, she was a loyal parishioner of the catholic church. Carol loved music, dancing and (most of all) her family. She will be fondly remembered as a selfless, altruistic wife and mother with an infectious, perennial smile, an unending supply of energy (especially for her grandchildren), and a quiet strength. Her greatest joy came from the laughter of her grandchildren, with whom she was inseparable. Carol was taken from us too soon and she will be missed until the end of our days.
