d on December 25, 2017 at the age of 75. She attended Boone High School. She worked and retired from Donnelly Marketing in Nevada. She was very loving and dedicated to her family. Nora was alos a longtime Little League softball coach. She was a Chicago Cubs fanatic, a tremendous supporter of her kids and grandkids, enjoyed playing 500/cards with her family.
Dick and Nora were married June 22, 1959. They were lifelong Boone residents and departed from this world within 22 hours of each other.
A Celebration of Life for Richard and Nora Dearborn, of Boone, will be 1:00 pm Friday, December 29, 2017 at the Open Bible Church, 1224 Hancock Drive, Boone, IA. The family will greet friends at the church on Friday from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. A private family burial will be at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, Iowa with military honors. Memorials are suggested to the family to be used at their discretion.
Richard and Nora are survived by their five children: Richard Jr. of Boone, IA, Dora Dearborn (Leo Rickertt) of Boone, IA, David (Joan) of Grand Junction, IA, Doug of Lohrville, IA, and Glenda of Boone, IA; 3 grandchildren: Austin (Allison) of Andrews AFB, Maryland, Zachary (Meagan) of Holloman AFB, New Mexico, and Trinity Dearborn of Boone; 4 great grandchildren: Elijah, Lincoln and Violet of Andrews AFB and Lucy of Holloman AFB.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Emmett and Don. He is survived by his sister-in-law Farris Dearborn of Nevada and many nieces and nephews.
Nora was preceded in death by her husband Dick, her parents, her brothers Richard, Delbert, and Leonard; her sisters Violet Frazier and Elaine Glantz. She is survived by her sisters, JoAnne Irvine of Washington State, Barb (Gary Low) of Norwalk, Portia Martin of Boone, Rose Brekke of Boone, Linda (Alan) Crandell of Boone, Kay (Jerry) Hammond of Missouri, and her brother David (Carol) of Tennessee, brother-in-law Conley Glantz of Centerville, and many nieces and nephews.
