well as governors George Wallace and Ronald Reagan. Larry also conducted several undercover operations during the course of his career. Upon retiring from the Secret Service he was appointed Senior Director of Corporate Security for Western Union, a position he held for 10 years.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Virginia and Dee Newman, and his beloved dog, Ginger. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Susan; daughter Melissa of San Francisco; daughter Michelle of New York City; son Brad of Louisville, CO.
Larry was an avid tennis player, fisherman, reader, historian, landscaper, gardener, animal lover and raconteur. He was a devoted husband and father who will be dearly missed.

A service is planned for Friday December 29, 2017 at Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 West Olive Street, Fort Collins, CO. Visitation will be at 11am, memorial service at 12pm, with interment to follow in Grandview Cemetery.
