uring retirement, he retained a strong passion for and active involvement in the Green County farming community where he was raised. He possessed a strong faith that nourished him throughout life. In retirement, Dick and Margret traveled extensively in Europe and Brazil as part of the Friendship Force, an organization that facilitates cultural exchanges. Dick is survived by his son, Greg (Marcy) of Minneapolis; grandsons, Andy and Grant; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, sisters, and wife, Margret. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 5th at 11:00 am at FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 203 Wisconsin Avenue, Madison. The family will greet friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
