e Henningsen Foods, Inc. an egg, meat and poultry processing plant, in Malvern after raising her children. She retired in the late 70's after working 11 years. Vera was a member of the First Baptist Church in Malvern where she taught Adult Sunday School for 18 years. She was a member of the American Legion, serving as Chaplin for a number of years. Vera was a Gold Star sister. She enjoyed singing, camping and traveling. Vera was eager to learn new things and at the age of 60 years she learned to drive. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends. Vera and John were married almost 43 years when John passed away on January 22, 1982. Vera continued to make her home in Malvern for many years, but due to declining health, she moved to the Tabor Manor Care Center in January 2012. Vera passed away on January 2, 2018 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, at the age of 95 years, 10 months, and 12 days. In addition to her husband John, she was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Frances; granddaughter Tavia Wooten; great grandson Tristan White; and siblings, Loran, Margrette, Athelda, Manford, Claude, Marvin, Ira, Effie, and Everett. Vera is survived by her children, Wauneitta Huebner and husband Jack of Loveland, CO, Dean Wooten and wife Bonnie of Greeley, CO, Robert Wooten and wife Cathy of Topeka, KS, Mary Jane Price and husband Tom of Council Bluffs, IA, Claudette White of Treynor, IA, and Harry Wooten and wife Linda of Sun City West, AZ; 21 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
