High School, LeNora and her husband traveled across the US while he served in WWII. After the war, they returned to Rochester, built their home and raised their family. In addition to managing her home, LeNora really enjoyed the work she did for many years, well into her 80s, as a member of the Mayo Foundation House staff. She was a lifelong, active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, providing service to others and participating in many women's and couple's organizations over the years, including helping brides plan their special day. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Thomas Poterucha for providing extraordinary care and compassion, and to the wonderful staff at Rochester East Health Services for assisting the family in caring for LeNora the past few years. A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 8, 2018, at 1:00pm, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rochester, with Reverend Joel Haak officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00pm - 1:00pm, before the service. There will be a family burial on Tuesday at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church, Paws and Claws, or charity of choice. "She is gone...There are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout...Here she comes!"
