Terry Franklin Phillips, 75, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at Premier Estates. Services will be 11:30 A.M. on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Immediately following the services, military rites will be provided by the combined units of the VFW Post #1565 and American Legion Post #27. Following military rites, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Community Room. Burial will be at the Tipton Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday from 9:30 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Muscatine Humane Society. argaret Pettit Phillips (later Margaret Keadey of Columbus, Ohio). He married Joyce (Zahner) Collison on November 14, 1980, in Tipton. Terry retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1983. He later worked at the HON Company and then for the Muscatine Community School District.
Terry is survived by his wife, Joyce; step-brother Doug (Kathy Smith) Keadey, Pickerton, Ohio; step-daughter Debra (Robert) Waisanen of Manton, Michigan; step-son Dustin Collison of Davenport; son Ricky Allen Phillips Sr. and grandson Ricky Phillips Jr. both of Canton, Ohio; step-grandchildren Chad Claney, Chantel and Sierra Waisanen, Curtis Miller, and Leahton Collison; sister-in-law Margo Schneider of Muscatine; brother-in-law Kleo (Jan) Zahner of Davenport; nieces Christine (Terry) Gibson and Sharon Steele. He is also survived by several step-great grandchildren.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, step-father James Keadey, sister Dorothy Barnes, brothers Richard and Marvin Phillips, niece Terressa Hensley, step-daughter Dixie Collison Hill, and step-son Dennis Collison.
