Everett A. Kroeze, 82, of Cedar Rapids died January 4, 2018 at St. Luke's Hospital after a short illness. Services: 10:30 a.m., Monday at St. John XXIII Catholic Church. Burial: 1 p.m., St. Joseph Cemetery, Iowa City. A Vigil Service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday at Teahen Funeral Home where friends may visit with the family Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m., and Monday after 9:30 a.m., at the church.
Everett is survived by his wife, Willy; a daughter, Alisa (Kevin) Sippy of Antioch, IL; a son Arnold (Kim) Kroeze of Elburn, IL; and grandchildren, Jason, Andre, Tonya, Christopher, Kayla, Kelsey, Zoe and Jonathan.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Cor, Wim, Rie, Jan, Arie and Alex, and his sisters, Willy Voet and Marie Voet.
Everett was born May 29, 1935 in Beesd, Holland the son of Jan and Alida Rink Kroeze. He served in the Dutch Royal Airforce. Everett married Willy M. Post on October 29, 1958 in Beesd. Everett and Willy owned and operated Holland Orchard and Nursery from 1963 to 2009.

Everett was a long time member of the Iowa Fruit Growers Association, the Iowa Nurseryman Association, and the Cedar Rapids Antique Car Club. In his retirement, he enjoyed gardening, antiques, collectibles, and especially spending time with his family.
Instead of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. John XXIII Catholic Church or St. Luke's Foundation.
