Bradley H. "Brad" Carpenter, 59, of Waterloo, died Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Covenant Medical Center.
He was born June 29, 1958 in Waterloo, the son of Howard and Virginia McNeil Carpenter.
Brad attended Waterloo West High School and then served in the U.S. Army.
He married Kathy Schilling on July 17, 1993 in Waterloo.
Brad was the owner and operator of Brad Carpenter Construction.
Survived by his wife, Kathy Carpenter of Waterloo; four sons, Michael (Dana) Schilling of Waterloo, Robert (Kari) Thompson of Waterloo, Brent (Heather) Carpenter of Evansdale, and Phillip (Amber) Thompson of Waterloo; 19 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Barb (Pete) Christensen of Waterloo, Bev (Rich) Patterson of Colorado, and Brenda Richards of Colorado; and two brothers, Bruce (Laurie) Carpenter of Colorado and Blaine Carpenter of Waterloo.
Preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jonathan Thompson; a brother, Brian "Butch" Carpenter; father-in-law, Everoul Schilling; and a brother-in-law, Jack Richardson.
