Thomas F. Mulvihill, age 86, of Council Bluffs, passed away January 9, 2018, at Midlands Living Center. Tom was born August 22, 1931, in Logan, Iowa, to the late Thomas E. and Margaret E. (McEvoy) Mulvihill. He graduated from St. Francis High School in 1951 and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Tom married Jacqueline Dragon in June of 1963, and to this union three children were born, Patrick, Michael and Kathleen. Tom was an engineer for the Union Pacific Railroad for many years, retiring in 1992. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Ellen (John "Jack") Albers; and nephew, David Albers. Tom is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jackie Mulvihill of Council Bluffs; sons, Patrick (Denise) Mulvihill of Wichita, Kansas, Michael (Alexis) Mulvihill of Hastings on Hudson, New York; daughter, Kathleen (Bryan) Caviness of Greensboro, North Carolina; 2 grandchildren, Aidan and Liam Mulvihill; nieces and nephews.
