mber. Joe was a gentle giant with integrity, honesty, and a fun sense of humor. His strong grip could have you quickly yelling "uncle". He would build a fire so hot, you would think you were in a sauna, and then he would crack a sly smile about it. Joe is survived by his wife Louise and their 2 daughters, Sheila (Marv) Mast of Riverside, IA and Sonja (Matt) Harapat of Iowa City, IA; his grandchildren, Heather (Dave) Mann, Hunter Mast, Natalie Harapat (Brandon Lange), Nate Harapat and Chelsey Kerf; his four great-granddaughters; and his sister, Betty (Gary) Evans. He is also survived by numerous extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and his infant great-grandson. The family would like to thank the staff at Briarwood for the care they showed Joe. Thank you.
