Larry E. Bodzenta, 76 of Sheffield Lake, passed away on Thursday, January 4th, 2018, following a lengthy illness.
Larry was born October 29th, 1941 in Warren, Ohio. He graduated from Leavittsburg High school in 1959. He served in the United States Air Force during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
He worked for U.S. Steel, Lorain for 20 years until 1984. Then he went to work for George Transfer and CRST trucking as a dispatcher and manager. Larry liked to ski, golf, travel and enjoyed nature and his dog. Larry coached The Chickadees Mini Tail League, Sheffield Lake Youth Baseball and was part of the youth baseball organization for many years.
Larry will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 47 years Vicky R. Bodzenta (née Kindig); his children Christopher Bodzenta and Amy Laws (née Bodzenta), both of Sheffield Lake; grandchildren Austin, Hunter and Reiley Bodzenta and Adam and Jacob Laws; sister Marbeth (Michael) Daily of West Farmington; his niece Mary Daily of Middlefield; and nephew Brendan Daily of Thailand.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, January 13th, from 2 pm until 6 pm at the residence of Vicky Bodzenta.
