Thelma Cloresa Erickson

Thelma Cloresa Erickson, 88 formerly of Nevada, died on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown.  Funeral services will be held 11a.m. on Monday, December 27 at the Memorial Lutheran Church, 701 11th Street in Nevada with Pastor Myron D. Herzberg officiating.  Burial will follow in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery. Thelma was born on May 3, 1922 in Nevada to Clarence and Dora (Stahlman) Post.  She was a 1939 graduate of Nevada High School.  On February 22, 1948, Thelma married Rufus E. Erickson at the Nevada Memorial Lutheran Church.  She was an administrative assistant at Sauer Danfoss in Ames before her retirement in 1987.  Thelma was a member of the Memorial Lutheran Church and Ruth Circle. Thelma is survived by 2 sons, Steven (Deb) D. Erickson of Silvis, IL and Alan E. Erickson of Nevada; a daughter Janeen (Loren) M. Driscoll of Nevada; 6 grandchildren Becky Bell, Mike Winter, Chad and Vanessa Erickson, Mark and Andrea Johnson, Eric Driscoll and Nicole Driscoll; 4 great-grandchildren Morgan, Audrey, Carter, and Ethan.
