In October of 09, Betty moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas to be with her daughter, Linda. She lived there with Linda and their dog, Missy, until she went to meet her Heavenly Father and the rest of her family on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the National Park Medical Center, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, at the age of 92 years.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Engle "Babe"; two sons: Dwight and Glen; and her siblings: Bill, Ray, Dean and Art Thomas and Rachel Howard.
Those left to cherish Betty's memory include her daughter, Linda Visser of Hot Springs, Arkansas; five grandchildren: Chad, Mike, and Kirk Visser, Carrie England and Cathy Visser Chiveney. Her great-grandchildren; Mia, Micole, Skyler, Sundance, Jorgen, Gretta, Lacey, Kirk Jr, Michael, Kelly, Trenton, Caiden, Madison and Collin. Her great-great grandchildren; Sylvia, Ava, Jasper, Kaylea and Addalyn. Her daughters-in-law, Jeannine and Merribell. Her siblings: Fred Thomas of California; Evelyn Union of California; Dorothy Whitlatch of Knoxville and Helen Keith of Nevada and many other family members and friends.
A funeral service for Betty Jane Visser, age 92 of Hot Springs, Arkansas and formerly of Harvey, Iowa, will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Harvey Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow in the Breckenridge Cemetery, with a coffeetime at the church after burial. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Bybee & Davis Funeral Home in Knoxville. Memorials may be made to the family.
