The Rion family will receive friends on Friday from 4 to 8 PM.
The funeral procession will form Saturday 9 AM at the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM at Saint Joseph's Church.
Burial will follow in Saint Mary's Cemetery.
Frederick J. Rion, Sr., 70, of Kingston died Tuesday January 16, 2018 at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck. Born June 30, 1947 in Kingston he was a son of the late Philip and Caroline Rion.
A veteran of the Vietnam War, Fred served in the United States Air Force. He was employed by the Kingston Water Department for many years until his retirement. Known as a "Great Guy" with a generous heart and a great sense of humor, Fred loved spending time with his family and traveling to casino's. He was a member of the Joyce-Schirick Post 1386 VFW and the Kingston Post 150 American Legion.

Carle) Rion with whom he celebrated 50 years of marriage on Monday January 15th; his son Frederick J. Rion, Jr. and his wife Mary Rose; his grandchildren, Frederick J. Rion, III and Mary Elizabeth Rion; his sisters-in-law, Julie Rion, Shirley Rion and Jackie VanEtten; his brothers-in-law, John Houghtaling and Ralph VanEtten. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
His brothers and sisters, Gertrude Ostrander, Gladys Wilson, John Rion, Gloria Miller, Phillip Rion, Addie Daley, Edward Rion, George Rion, Ronald Rion, Roland Rion and Phyllis Clavie all died previously.
