even under trying circumstances when Buck died in 1972. Phyllis met her second husband, Arthur ("Art") Charles Ewald in 1973 and they were married in 1974. Phyllis and Art continued to provide a wonderful home together for their family up until his death in 2009. They were a formidable bridge partnership, unusual golf twosome and loving travel companions. Most significantly, they were soul mates. In addition to spending time with family, she loved to play tennis, golf, bowl and play bridge. She also loved movies and animals, including her beloved Black Lab mix Polo. She had a wonderful sense of humor that included making fun of herself and her situation. Her love, warmth, humor, compassion, empathy and strength will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
