She was a lifelong devout prayer warrior. She enjoyed feeding and watching birds, reading, and collecting stamps. She delighted in having her family around, she looked forward to her children and grandchildren coming over for cookouts and family dinners at the farm.
Loretta's family includes her husband of over 54 years Ronald Hutchinson of Hamilton; four children, Loresa (Jeff) White of Bloomfield, Randy (Emily) Hutchinson of Norwalk, Ronetta (Russ) McCall of Yuma, Colorado, and Lorinda (Roger) Berry of Indianola; nine grandchildren, Jeremy Atchison, Rebecca Manifold, Angela Davis, Rachelle Williams, Darin Hutchinson, DeeAnn Hutchinson, Cody Veldhuizen, Kelsey Atchison, and Megan Hutchinson; eight step grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren, Chase and Jaylnn Atchison, Ann Marie, Alyssa, and Lindsey Manifold, Xander and Marlee Davis, Emma, Jacob, and Ellie Williams, and Huxlee and Jaycee Lyon; six step great grandchildren; three sisters, Valeria Sage of Flower Mound, Texas, Judy (Jim) Grush of Sarasota, Florida and Debra Hart of Oskaloosa; a brother, Darrell (Leeanna) Stout of Waverly; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Zelphia Roach; and three siblings in infancy.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. in the Bethel Baptist Church in Oskaloosa with Reverend Josh Spencer officiating. As was Loretta's wish her casket will be closed. Burial will be in the University Park Cemetery in University Park. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will begin Thursday morning after 9 a.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel and the family will be at the funeral chapel from 5-7 Thursday evening to greet friends and relatives. Memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Bible College Graham Fund in Ankeny, Iowa.
