Funeral services for Mr. Carey H. Carlock, age 97, of Livingston will be conducted at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 17 from the First United Methodist Church in Livingston with burial in Good Hope Cemetery, Livingston, TN. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m.Mr. Carlock died July 15, 2008 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was born July 19, 1910 in Overton County to the late Thomas Ward and Winnie Ellen Neely Carlock. He worked as the manager for Jenkins Darwin Dry Goods Store for many years.He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Livingston where he taught Sunday School Class for many years as well as being very active in the church.He is survived by a daughter, Linda Denton of Louisville, KY; a son, Jim Carlock of Cupertino, CA; a sister, Edith Freeman of Algood, TN; 2 grandchildren, Brandon Denton and Mandi Hunt and 3 great-grandchildren.He is preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers: Charles Carlock, John Douglas Carlock, and Ward Reeves Carlock.
