Funeral services for Mr. Larry Glinvle Garrett, age 54, of Livingston will be conducted at 2 p.m., Friday, June 25, 2010 from the Chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston with Bro. James Garrett officiating. Burial will be in the Wirmingham Cemetery in Monroe, TN where there will be a military service provided by the Honor Guard from the James T. Davis Post 5062 of Livingston. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5 until 9 p.m.Mr. Garrett died June 22, 2010 at the V. A. Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was born May 7, 1956 in St. Clair, Michigan to Dorma Alberta McDonald Garrett. He was a correctional officer for the Tennessee Dept. of Corrections.He was Methodist in faith.He is survived by his wife, Agnes Garrett of Livingston; daughter, Tammy Robb John of McEwen, TN; son, Joel Garrett of Dickson, TN; mother, Alberta Garrett of Monroe; 2 grandchildren; sisters, Betty King of Monroe, Gail Wright Roger of Bolestown, TN, Robin Taylor Kenny of Monroe, Mary Joe Winningham Ricky of Monroe, and Edna Winningham Gary of Livingston; brother, Jamie Garrett of Monroe; and several nieces nephews.He is preceded in death by his father: Dorma Garrett.Pallbea...[more]
