Services for Mrs. Mildred E. Sells, 85, of Monroe will be conducted at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 1, 2010 from the Chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston with Rev. Hillier Duke officiating. Burial will be in the Nelson Cemetery in Monroe. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 until 9 p.m.Mrs. Sells died June 28, 2010 at Cookeville Regional Hospital. She was born September 1, 1924 in Overton County to the late Edward S. and Annie Little Sells. She was a factory worker in the garment industry.She was a member of Hatcher Hall Christian Church. She was one of the many Rosie Riveters who worked in the factories during WWII in Kenton, Ohio and also worked in the Grandparents program at Little Shepherd Daycare.She is survived by 3 daughters, Elizabeth husband, Dennie Chilton of Allons, Gail husband, John Carr of Sparta, and Glenda husband, Bob Terry of Cookeville; 3 sons, Gary wife, Linda Sells and Terry wife, Karen Sells, all of Livingston, and Rick Sells of Ball Ground, GA; a sister, Maxine Bowers of Livingston; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Claude Sells, and brothers: Donald Keith Sells.
