Funeral services for Mr. Verlon Boyce Krantz, age 77, of Rickman will be conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 7, 2012 from the Chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston with Rev. Craig Green officiating. Burial will be in the Wirmingham Cemetery in Monroe, TN where there will be a military service provided by the Honor Guard from the James T. Davis Memorial Post 5062 of Livingston with full military honors. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6 until 8 p.m.Mr. Krantz died February 2, 2012 at WyndRidge Health Rehab Center in Crossville, TN. He was born March 18, 1934 in Putnam County to the late Vernal Green and Alice Looper Krantz. He was retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years, was a truck driver, and owned 2 grocery stores in Rickman.He was a member of the V.F.W. and veteran of the U.S. Navy.He is survived by his wife, Jean Krantz of Rickman; 2 brothers, Leroy Krantz wife, Joyce of Joelton, TN and a nephew, Hardy Miles Krantz, Jr. of Smyrna, TN.He is preceded in death by his parents.Pallbearers to serve are Tony Wayne Krantz, Shauz Mark Daniels, and Bret Greg Livingston.Memorial contributions may be made to: The Wounded Warrior Project or The ...[more]
