Funeral services for Mr. Chester Lee Phillips, age 79, of Monroe will be conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 28, 2012 from the Chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston with Bro. Frankie Bledsoe officiating. Burial will be in the Wirmingham Cemetery in Monroe. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 5 until 9 p.m.Mr. Phillips passed away November 25, 2012 at his home. He was born March 19, 1933 in Devonia, TN to the late Richard Artensie Anderson. He was a glass factory worker.He is survived by a son, Kevin Phillips friend, Deb Melton of Jamestown; daughters, Jeannie George Goodman of Monroe, Lisa James Brant of Ridgeville, IN, Stacey Hood of Monroe; brothers, Larry Phillips of Ridgeville, IN and Glen Phillips of Red Key, IN; sisters, Evalee Garrison of Montpelier, IN, Louise Garrison of Red Key, IN Eileen Stanley of Kansas City, MO; 9 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, several nieces nephews.He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife: Betty Jean Phillips, daughter: Candace Phillips, sons: Chad Doug Phillips, and 5 brothers: Haskiel, Herbert, Robert, Roland, Tommy Phillips.Pallbearers to serve are Cliff Duke, Doug Neely, Damien Youn...[more]
